How to Register

Payments can be made over the phone or in person at the OSCAR Bristol Centre: 256 Stapleton Road, Bristol, BS5 0NP. Office hours: Monday closed, Tuesday 11:00am โ 4:30pm, Wednesday 11:00am โ 4:30pm, Thursday 11:00am โ 4:30pm, Friday 11:00am โ 1:00pm, Saturday closed, Sunday closed.
FAQs
What should I bring on the day?
For the theme park:
- Waterproof poncho or raincoat โ essential for water rides
- A full change of dry clothes and a small towel
- Flat, enclosed shoes or trainers (no flip-flops โ there’s a lot of walking)
- Sunhat and sunscreen SPF 50+
- Money for food and drinks on site
Medical essentials – keep with you at all times:
- All daily prescribed medication, plus extra painkillers just in case
- Inhalers, spacers, or EpiPen if needed โ put in a clearly labelled container
- Your hospital medical history letter or care plan
Keep safe and comfy on the coach
The coach is air-conditioned and can feel chilly – staying warm and hydrated matters especially for healthy blood flow
- A cosy hoodie, jumper, or light jacket
- A light blanket or large scarf for your legs
- Travel snacks to keep energy up
- A large bottle of water โ please stay well hydrated throughout the day
- A fully charged mobile phone and a power bank if you have one

Rides, heights and supervision
Woodlands meets national Health & Safety standards. Key rules to know:
- Children under 17 must be supervised at all times by an adult aged 17 or over
- Most rides have a minimum height (commonly 90โ110cm); larger rides require 140cm+
- Smaller children must be accompanied by someone aged 16+ on many rides
- Shoes must be removed for indoor soft-play and bouncy attractions
Exact requirements vary by ride – please check the signs at each attraction on the day.
Frequently asked questions
- What time do we leave and return? The coach departs from Warwick Road Bus Stop at 8:30am and returns at approximately 8:00pm.
- Who goes free? People with Sickle Cell or Thalassaemia, and infants under 92cm, are admitted free.
- Can children attend without an adult? No โ all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Will there be food at the park? Yes, food and drinks are on sale at the park. You’re also welcome to bring your own snacks and water.
- When must I register by? Thursday 6 August 2026. All completed forms and payments must be received by this date.

Other pre-trip Information
- OSCAR Bristol registration/ booking opening times are on Tuesdays and
Thursdays 12-4.30pm Starting (add date) June 2026 - Seats are given on a first come first serve basis
- When all seats are taken we will hold a waiting list in case of any places
becoming available. - Priority given to adults & children with sickle cell or thalassaemia
- Proof of sickle cell or thalassaemia must be provided e.g., gold card/ letter
- Booking is not complete until a fully completed registration form is
provided (to include an emergency contact and number) & full
payment is received - Refunds requested will be at the discretion of OSCAR Bristol Chair/
Deputy Chair and whether the seats can be occupied by someone else - Registration/ bookings are for immediate family members only e.g.,
brother, sister mum, dad. - If parents are unable to attend the trip then guardians 18+ are allowed to
attend BUT guardians are 100% responsible for the children (same as
parents). - All children under the age of 18 years MUST be accompanied and
supervised by an adult 18+ years - A car seat MUST be provided for all children aged 0-3 years old
- Any allergies/ intolerance needs to be disclosed at the time of booking
- All attendees MUST bring any medication they need for the day in a
sealed, clearly labelled bag/ container. NO MEDICATION- NO TRIP - To maximise our time at Woodlands the coach will leave promptly at
8.30am – sorry we cannot wait for anyone that is late - Light refreshments will be provided on the way to Woodlands (one bottle of
water, one packet of crisps and one apple) - Please bring a picnic or money for food & drinks
